Ingrown toenails are a common condition in which the Toe Nail Grows into the soft flesh. This condition is extremely painful and can cause pain, swelling, redness and sometimes serious infection also. People who walk a lot, play sports and wear tight shoes often suffers from this problem.
As told, an ingrown toenail is a painful condition and therefore it must be treated in its early stage. Here are some common home remedies that can be effective in treating the ingrown toenails.
1. Using Epsom salt.
Magnessium sulfate is called Epsom salt. Epsom salt has various skin benefits and it also acts as a disinfectant. Add handful of salt to tub warm water and soak your foot in it for 30 minutes. It will soften the skin around affected area and helps in getting rid of pain.
2. Using Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar help in soothing up the skin and prevent swelling. Add few drops of apple cider vinegar in water and soak your foot in for 20 minutes. You can also use apple cider vinegar directly on the affected area.
3. Using White Flower Oil
White flower oil is prepared from many herbal oils like eucalyptus, lavender and peppermint oil. It has soothing properties. Apply white flower oil directly on affected area. Wash your feet with warm water for better results.
NOTE: White flower oil is poisonous and should not be consumed orally.
